Dua Lipa Dua Lipa, an English artist and singer was born in London on the 22nd of August 1995. Dua Lipa signed to Warner Bros Records after a couple of years of work and put out a self-titled album in the year 2017. The album peaked at third place at the U.K. Albums Chart and produced eight singles which included Be The One I.D.G.A.F as well as the U.K. number-one single New Rules which peaked at 6th within the United States. Lipa was awarded the Brit Awards in the year 2018 for British Female Solo Artist, and British Breakthrough Act and her album has been certified platinum in several countries worldwide. Dua Lipa was born at the age of 18 in London in the UK by Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa rexha (mother) and Dukagjin lilipa (father). Through her maternal grandmother Dua Lipa, the actress is Bosnian. Her ancestors also come from the Kosovo town of Peja. The two grandfathers of Lipa were historians. Her siblings are Rina and Gjin. Lipa began to learn how to play guitar and sing from her dad Oda. He is the lead singer/guitarist of Kosovan's rock group Oda. In her home, Lipa's father played music of David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics The Police Stereophonics. Lipa began singing at age five. She attended the Sylvia Young Theater School was the first place she began to sing at the age of nine.
